Sinopse
In Tita Maravilha’s new solo show, Bossa Nova ceases to be merely a musical genre and becomes an act of class consciousness. Here, “bossa nova” returns to its original meaning — a new way of doing, of existing, and of claiming rights — revealing that the true revolution lies in the body, the voice, and the history of those who have always lived on the margins. Now, the true Bossa Nova has been revealed: Tita Maravilha. While the historical bossa nova movement sought to express a modern, light, and sophisticated Brazil, it also silenced the deeper rhythms of popular life — those shaped by poverty, migration, and struggle. On stage, amid songs, confessions, and personal myths, Tita cries out: “Give the people what belongs to the people!”
