DJ Ahmet

Like many 15-year-old boys, Ahmet dreams of something more. Living in a remote village in North Macedonia, he is tasked with tending the family's flock while his father seeks treatment for his younger brother, five-year-old Naim, who hasn't spoken since their mother's death. Ahmet finds refuge in music and enlists his brother's help to win over Aya, the girl he's fallen for, who is already promised to another. DJ Ahmet portrays the clash between tradition and modernity in an ode to the power of music.
