Sinopse
We wrote, rehearsed and filmed this play together with Amanda, Pedro and Andrés, members of the Wichi indigenous community of Tres Pozos, located in northern Argentina. The fiction dealt with the advance of deforestation and drugs, their peaceful resistance and our silent racism. They were going to perform the play, but weeks before the premiere, Amanda died because she did not receive the medical attention she needed after an appendicitis. What is the point of doing this play without Amanda, without Andrés, or Pedro, who died months later? Through their absence and the latent presence of their bodies in the film they starred in, audio recordings of their voices, debates about the creative process and texts in Wichi, Marco and Miguel reconstruct the play that could not be and yet still is.
