Delitto d’amore

In industrial Milan in the 1970s, two young factory workers, Nullio, from Northern Italy, and Carmela, from the South with her family, fall in love. Between the miserable living and working conditions and the cultural differences that mark them, their love struggles to survive. One of Luigi Comencini's great works, and a little-known gem of Italian cinema, "Delitto d’amore" is a social melodrama about two young lives surrendered to industrial exploitation and the pressures of a divided society, set against a backdrop of smog.
